WRYN

Wryn is a musician based on the central coast of California (Chumash Land). Their work investigates transmutation, reflection, gender, parenthood, and absorption of the self.

Wryn has been featured in NPR multiple years for their Tiny Desk Contest entries, and interviewed by Ayesha Rascoe about their 2022 submission ‘Pushing’.

Wryn’s music has been described as “Introspective.. lyrically sincere yet sophisticated”, “ tough yet heartfelt, and loaded with potential”. The emotional depth of their live performances and recorded work has drawn comparisons to Adrianne Lenker, PJ Harvey, Phil Elverum, Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olson.

After years of bedroom recordings Wryn, is currently working on their debut Album ‘Shapes’ in collaboration with producer Bella Blasko.

ELLA HUE

In 2023, Ella Hue released their first dreamy poetic rendition of a song, like a brief encounter, in WOMB III, on spotify.

This fall Ella Hue debuts their first EP, MAGNET,  released by Team Love Label, introducing poetic overtures as add-ons in two new tracks that showcase Ella’s driving ability to capture diverse compositions that evoke longing, desire, and curiosity. Ella Hue is warm grit, lyric forward, ready to howl.

Ella’s messages of belonging and longing are powerful and thought-provoking. Buck Meek of Big Thief was rapt the first time he heard Ella, "I get chills every time I hear Ella sing their songs. They are an artist who sounds like no one else but I can't imagine the world without"

MIMI GILBERT

Mimi Gilbert was born and raised in California, where they first began singing and performing in public. At the age of 15, Mimi bought their first battery-powered amp and took to the streets of American cities. There they learned the art of story-telling, the impact of vulnerability, and the power of voice.

During their many years since touring on the road, Gilbert has worked honing their craft and recording songs. A self-proclaimed private person, Mimi has spent a long time keeping much in hiding; her life, her sexuality, their past. Their most recent songs shatter the walls of concealment they worked so hard to build.

Mimi is now based between Melbourne, Australia and Los Angeles. They just got off the road in the USA and Australia opening some shows for Australia’s beloved Julia Jacklin. Mimi is now working on their next album.

 - with heart-wrenching musical results.
