SBJS presents Jazz vocalist Lee Hartley and Friends featuring Stuart Elster on Piano, Kevin Winard on Drums, and Rob Moreno on Bass with surprise special guest artists.
Lee started singing at age three with her gospel family, developing a soulful style with a natural ability. Her musical career includes working for a decade with the legendary Les McCann and his All-Star friends, touring across the USA and Japan. She has worked with many big bands as lead vocalist, co-writing her arrangements. She is currently recording with the Christian Jacob trio featuring Tom Scott, Chuck Finley and John Chiodini.
Stuart Elster is from Los Angeles and has been a professional musician for the last 35 years. He has performed or recorded with Donna Summer, Melissa Manchester, Rickie Lee Jones, Chaka Khan, Nicolette Larson, Glen Campbell, Paul Anka, Willie Bobo, Jimmy Witherspoon, Connie Stevens, Carmen McRae, Helen Reddy, and the Smothers Brothers, among many others.
Rob Moreno has primarily focused on jazz studies and is proficient in all styles of American music. Rob has toured internationally, performing at notable festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz festival and the Catalina Jazz Club.
Drummer/Percussionist Kevin Winard has been playing since age 10. His drumming and percussion talents have also led him to perform and/or record with artists such as Ray Anthony, Debby Boone, Delaney Bramlett, Les Brown, Carol Burnett, Rosemary Clooney, Christine Ebersole, David Finck, Carol Fredette, Bob Hope, Roger Kellaway, Hal Linden, Gloria Loring, Marilyn Maye, Jim Nabors, Diane Schuur, Tom Scott, Téka, Lauren White, Roger Williams, Mark Winkler and many others.
